Michele Melchiorre, COO, resigns from the Management Board

Vienna, Austria, 10 September 2018 – The Supervisory Board of Semperit AG Holding has today agreed to the request of Michele Melchiorre, COO and responsible Board Member for the Medical Sector, to terminate his Management Board contract as of 30 September 2018. Mr Melchiorre has decided to continue his career in the automotive industry, where he has previously worked for many years.

Dr Christoph Kollatz, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Semperit AG Holding, states: “The Supervisory Board thanks Mr Melchiorre for his energetic commitment and regrets that he has prematurely terminated his Management Board mandate.”

The measures necessary for a fast reappointment to the Management Board position have already been introduced by the Supervisory Board. Until then, Dr Felix Fremerey, member of Semperit’s Supervisory Board, and CEO Dr Martin Füllenbach will be responsible for the Board portfolio of Michele Melchiorre on an interim basis. In this transition phase, Fremerey’s Supervisory Board mandate is suspended.

Dr Kollatz: “The ongoing restructuring process will continue seamlessly. The Supervisory Board supports the organisational realignment and wishes all those involved every success in achieving the goals we have set ourselves.”
