Johannes Schmidt-Schultes terminates board activity with Semperit
Vienna, Austria, 9 September 2016 — Chief Financial Officer Johannes Schmidt-Schultes informed the company’s Supervisory Board in today’s meeting that he will not be available for another contract renewal after his second term of office at the end of April 2017. After six years of service as Chief Financial Officer of the Semperit Group he has decided to seek out new professional challenges, says Schmidt-Schultes.
The Supervisory Board of Semperit AG Holding regrets this decision. “In the past years, Mr. Schmidt-Schultes has played a key role in shaping the company’s success,” says Veit Sorger, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. “He not only fundamentally restructured all commercial and administrative functions but also established modern structures and processes in the financial organisation. Mr. Schmidt-Schultes was substantially involved in the strategic realignment and organisational modernisation of Semperit. In addition, he has created the basis for a sustainable and financially secure growth by comprehensively restructuring the Group’s financing. Mr. Schmidt-Schultes has completely reorganised the financial reporting and capital market communication of Semperit AG Holding based on the principles of transparency, clarity and continuity, which earned him the highest respect and appreciation of investors and analysts,” says Veit Sorger.
The entire Supervisory Board thanks Johannes Schmidt-Schultes for his years of work and wishes him continued success and personal wellbeing. The succession process for the function of CFO of the Semperit Group has been initiated.
